Marga: A Handmade Oil Burner Inspired by the Volcanoes of La Garrotxa

La Garrotxa, in northern Catalonia, is a valley shaped by ancient volcanoes. One of them, St. Margarida, is now silent, its crater filled with forest. This volcanic landscape inspired the shape and spirit of Marga, a handmade oil burner for natural home fragrance.

Marga brings the sensation of a quiet walk through Mediterranean woods. When warmed by candlelight, it gently diffuses the aromas of rosemary, pine, and wild herbs - scents found in these forests and valued in aromatherapy.

The form was developed through a series of prototypes, always returning to the original idea: preserving the calm and elemental feeling of fire, water, and scent.

Each piece is made from mouth-blown borosilicate glass and a handcrafted ceramic base. The final design echoes the soft slopes of a volcano and the ritual quality of ancient tools—slow, grounding, and timeless.
